How I Prepare on Sunday for the Week Ahead

July 01, 2018

Hey, Fabs!

If you're reading this blog post right now, more than likely you clicked on a link that I sent you via email or one that I posted on Facebook or Instagram. I want to take this time out to thank you for subscribing to this blog and following me on social media. Your time is valuable and you could spend it doing a million and one other things; however, you chose to click on my link and read what I had to say today. I sincerely appreciate you for that.

Speaking of time, we're headed into a new week and I want to encourage you to take a few hours to focus on preparing yourself for the mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual challenges that you might face over the next few days.

You know the devil is always busy and it's important to prepare yourself for anything he might send your way this week. Hopefully, this blog post will help you prepare yourself so that you can be strong, overcome challenges, and kick butt over the next few days!

In order to prepare myself for the week ahead, one of my Sunday evening rituals includes getting the kids in the bed early so that I have time to focus on myself without any distractions or interruptions. I close my door, read my Bible, pray, write, look over my business and social calendar, and empower myself with positive affirmations.

I tell myself things like, "You're doing an amazing job", "You're going to have a blessed and prosperous week", "Great opportunities are going to avail themselves to you", and "No weapon formed against you will prosper this week." I also tell myself, "You got this, this week is yours, and you're going to make a huge impact on the lives that God has entrusted you to influence." I strongly encourage you to speak these things over yourself as well. Trust me, you'll begin to see your days, weeks and, ultimately, your life drastically improve as a result of it.

One of the revelations that I received in my private time with God today that I want to share with you is that oftentimes we get too consumed with the little, unexpected things that pop up on a daily basis. We get thrown off course because we didn't prepare, ahead of time, ways to handle them. I highly recommend practicing staying calm in the midst of the storm. Practice not letting the little things overtake you emotionally. Practice stepping away, breathing, prioritizing and putting everything in its proper perspective.

Rest assured, something will happen to distract you this week. I admonish you to do like I do and prepare yourself, today, on how you're going to handle the inevitable tomorrow.

Take some time to strategize ways to avoid having things that are insignificant to your destiny disrupt your life to the point that you can no longer focus on being great and doing the things God wants you to do.

Lastly, before you turn the lights off in your bedroom for the last time tonight, send a prayer up to God thanking Him for every blessing, every angel, every favor, every breakthrough, and every revelation that He's going to bless you with this week. You get what you expect, you know. Expect God to do amazing things in your life. And, thank Him in advance for them tonight.

These are just some of the things I do that help me prepare for the week ahead. I hope you can take some of what I shared and apply it to your own life so that you can be greater, victorious, and more fabulous this week.

That's all for now, my loves. Be blessed and have an amazing week!

With love,

Quan Lanae Green
